HBI Welcome Mike Jamfrey as New Managing Director

We are delighted to announce that from 30th June 2016, Mike Jamfrey will take over as the Managing Director of Healthy Buildings International Ltd (HBI).

Mike, together with Operations Director Rob Lynch and Business Director Claire Vitel (pictured below) will formally take over the running of HBI at the end of June as the company continues to go from strength to strength.

Mike joined HBI some 20 years ago as a graduate consultant and now as arriving MD can draw upon his unique wealth of experience and knowledge shaped from within the business.

He has worked in a wide range of roles at HBI ranging from Senior Asbestos Technical Manager, Operations Manager for HBI’s Northern Division as well as more recently in Commercial Management and Directorship roles. Away from work Mike is an avid fisherman, runs a youth football team as well as sitting on the Executive Board of Yateley Football Club in Hampshire.

Making way for Mike to take the reins is departing MD Dave Handley who will be stepping aside after a hugely successful 24 years of running HBI since its formation with John Middleton in 1992.

Moving forward, Dave will continue his work as HBI’s leading expert consultant in Air & Water Hygiene as well as expanding his role as Authorising Engineer for Healthcare clients. John Middleton continues with his role at HBI as Quality Manager.

Mike’s achievement is a true home-grown success story for HBI and we are delighted to see him appointed to the position of Managing Director. As the following statement from Mike highlights, we look now to an exciting future as HBI continues to consolidate and grow its high-quality and customer-centric compliance services in the UK.

”HBI is a fantastic company, which is a great testament to the stewardship of Dave Handley.  I intend to continue with the standards that have ensured we deliver high quality service, high customer care and cost effective building compliance solutions.  We have a really strong team at HBI and I am extremely proud to be leading us into the next phase of HBI’s development. We will continue to be market leaders in our supply of Asbestos, Air Quality, Legionella and Health & Safety services, supplemented with our Training and On-line Compliance Management Tools” Mike Jamfrey.
